Our pellet factory located in Huéscar, Granada, is equipped with the most innovative and modern technology for manufacturing high quality pellet.
The prime material, with what we produce our certified EN PLUS A-1 pellet, is only pine, obtained and managed from its origin in conifer areas of the sub-baetic mountains by our department of forestry engineers.
From the mountain to sawdust
Once in our premises, the prime material is subject to high quality standards and processed by stripping the bark and making it sawdust. This stage takes place in our section for primary treatment, which has a machine that stripes the cork from the logs and a Linnemann sawdust machine. This machine transforms 40cm diameter logs in 5 tonnes of granulated sawdust per minute.
Efficient drying
The result is subject to a drying process at 500 to 600 ºC, with the energy of a biomass oven of 1.5 MW, which uses pine chips as fuel. The result is sawdust with less that 10% of humidity and optimal conditions to produce pellet.
Processing pellet
The sawdust produced in the drying process is taken to the transfer plant in a large silo, from here a high quality pellet with a homogenous size is delivered. Once the pellet is dried and processed, 2 tonnes of pellet per hour are packed in different package sizes.
Our plant of pellet has an production capacity of more than 15,000 tonnes per year and needed an investment of more than 2 million euros.
